Striper Master Lake Texoma Striper Fishing Report 7/7/2011

Lake Texoma elevation is 614.64 and our water temperature is 81 degrees. We are starting to see more larger stripers this past two weeks as they start to make their deep water runs on the south end of the lake. The stripers are still in the 65-75 foot water and moving fast but we have seen fish in the 11-18 lb range occasionally with alot of 2-4 lb fish. Limits of these good stripers is still hit and miss and it has been an early bite.

Striper Master Lake Texoma Striper Fishing Report 6/8/2011

Lake Texoma elevation is 615.98 and water temp is 74 degrees. This past week our striper fishing has improved considerably. The stripers on Lake Texoma are stacked in the deep water( 65-75ft). Live bait has been lethal. Up until this past week limits of good stripers have been hard to come by daily. This past few days fast limits and really nice stripers in the 17-24" range are plentiful. Were still catching allot of male fish with a few females mixed in and they are still on the spawn.A couple more weeks and the spawn should be completely finished and the striper fishing will only continue to get hotter. So if you've waited to book you Lake Texoma striper trip now is definitely the time to start making plans to come out and striper fish beautiful Lake Texoma.

Lake Texoma elevation is 613.33 which is 1 1/2 ft low and water tempter is 64 degrees. The striper fishing has picked up and the sand bass fishing has been excellent. Were finding allot steady action but the sizes have varied from day to day.The wind the past several weeks has really made it tough to get to the feeding stripers but when we can move around a little we seem to put a box of stripers and sand bass together.

I think this year has a lot of us baffled. We have sand bass that should have spawned out a month ago still full of eggs and we have threadfin shad that shouldn't be spawning until next month spawning now.

Striper Master Lake Texoma Striper Fishing Report 2/12/2011

Lake Texoma lake elevation is 614.15 and water temperature is a frigid 40 degrees.  I haven't posted a fishing report for several weeks due to the weather. Winter fishing is my favorite time of year to fish but with the brutal temperatures the past 2 weeks I haven't put my boat in the water since January 31st.  After looking at the forecast for the next 7-10 days its time to get back on the water.I'm hoping things have changed a little for the better.

Lake Texoma elevation is 616.07 and water temperature is 47-49 degrees. OurLake Texoma striper fishing continues to improve daily.  I fished several trips the week before Christmas and into this week and the striper fishing is probably at it's best right now. With the cold weather settling in and these fast fronts blowing thru the stripers are on their winter feed and really chunking up. I have mainly fished west of Highport using live bait and the depths have varied almost daily but mainly the 25-50 ft of water.

So much for my November fishing report. With a week and a half of vacation the first of the month and relatives visiting thru Thanksgiving week, the month of November just simply got away from me. So I'll just get started with our striper fishing for the first part of December. Lake Texoma lake level is 616.61 witch is 1.27 ft low.  The water is off color and water temp is 49-51 degrees. The seagulls have moved in by the thousands and can help you find the good schools of stripers,  but they can also fool you.

Striper Master Lake Texoma Striper Fishing Report 10/28/2010

Lake Texoma lake elevation is 616.52 and water temp is 71-74 degrees. We are slowly starting to see some of our better stripers starting to show back up. Compared to this time last year our water temp is about 6-8 degrees warmer. With the cooler nights and shorter days we shoud start to see the temp steadily fall. Once we get to the mid to lower 60's the Lake Texoma fall fishing should be back in full swing. A lot of our stripers are still hanging around the shallow flats in 5-15 ft of water. The good news is that they have finally started to move to some of the other flats thru out the lake.

Striper Master Lake Texoma Striper Fishing Report 9/28/2010

Lake Texoma striper fishing over the past four weeks has been very consistent. Although we are not catching alot of the larger fish, the action has been really good. The Lake Texoma stripers are working the surface chasing shad on shallow flats early morning. Most topwater plugs will work along with soft plastic swim baits in white or chartreuse. When the topwater bite is over I'll change to the 1oz ghost minnow slab and work the ledges related to the shallow flats. Drop to the bottom come 1-2 turns up and jig it. With this bait your strikes will come on the fall so you have to keep the slack out of your line or alot of the time you'll never feel the strike.

Striper Master Lake Texoma Striper Fishing Report 8/11/2010

Although July was a fabulous month striper fishing Lake Texoma, the first week of August has been just as good.  Lake Texoma water temp is 86-88 degrees and lake elevation is 617.31. We're still fishing live bait (gizzard shad) and mainly fishing 65-80 ft of water.  The morning feed has been incredible the majority of stripers being caught have been our 20" fish and over.

Striper Master Lake Texoma Striper Fishing Report 7/21/2010

Lake Texoma striper fishing thru this first part of July continues to hold up. Limits of stripers are being caught in the 60-75 ft of water using gizzard shad. Were mainly fishing the river channel ledges and although you may not mark the stripers solid, you can set up on the scattered stripers and get them going. This past week we are seeing alot more of the overs ( 20 inches plus ) and some solid 18-19" box fish. I have had a couple of really good slab fishing days mixed in with some bad ones so until I see some changes Im back to baitfishing .
