Striper Master Lake Texoma Striper Fishing Report 6/7/2010

With the Memorial Day Holidays behind us and the June days heating up, the striper fishing on Lake Texoma is at it's best.  Limits of stripers are being caught all over the lake.   Although I have caught some fish on top-water, live bait is still my preference at this time.

The Lake Texoma striper fishing thru the month of may just keeps getting better. Limits of stripers are being caught within a hour or two all over the lake. Tur current lake elevation is 619.01 an water tempeture is 78-80 degrees. I've fished both north and west of Highport Marina, finding large amounts of stripers in the 45-70 feet range of water holding on river channel ledges humps and ditches. Some days you can mark them solid and others they'll be a little scattered. Alough I like seeing the stripers piled in,as long as your marking scattered fish you can set up on them and they will find you. We're still using live bait mainly anchor fishing with a little drifting mixed in. When you get the fish pulled in it's an absolute feeding frenzy and this should continue for the 6-8 weeks and then we should be fishing slabs. If you have never experienced Lake Texoma striper fishing at its finest now is definitly the time to try it out. We'll continue to fish morn and afternoon trips until the bite slacks off but as for now both have produced large numbers of Texoma stripers. With the beautiful weather we have alot more boating traffic so vest up, be safe and enjoy your time on Lake Texoma.

Striper Master Lake Texoma Striper Fishing Report 04/22/2010

Lake Texoma water temp is 64-70 degrees and lake elevation is 614.48 feet above sea level. The first part of April, Lake Texoma striper fishing has seen steady improvement. We're still using live bait drift fishing the 15-25 ft depth. The size of the fish has improved from the smaller males to the 16-19" good keepers and your over 20" stripers as well. Just about everywhere I've fished I am finding alot of stripers holding on the flats in 20 ft and less water.

Striper Master Lake Texoma Striper Fishing Report 3/10/2010

It has been about two weeks since my last Lake Texoma fishing report and with the warmer weather we have seen a few changes on the lake. Water temperature is 43-49 degrees, lake elevation is 616.19 and water is off color. We are mainly fishing west of the Highport marina, working ledges and humps in the 30-45 ft water.

Lake Texoma water temp is 40-43 degrees, lake elevation is 617.88. Due to the crazy weather we have had this winter it has been a challenge just to keep some of my trips booked. Although when were able to get our trips in the lake texoma striper fishing has been pretty good. The cold overcast days have worked out well.

The sunny days with very little wind I will admit have been tougher for me. Bait on the west side of the lake is the real challenge. From Highport Marina and to the west is pretty muddy water due to the rain and snow. I have mainly fished the stained water from Mill Creek back to the north working  the 45-60 foot water.

Striper Master Lake Texoma Striper Fishing Report 12/10/2009

The water temperature of Lake Texoma is 49-54 degrees. The Lake Texoma elevation is 617.80 ft above sea level.

With the Texoma area temperatures the last couple of days being extremely cooler, the Lake Texoma striper fishing is now at its best. Large numbers of stripers are being caught daily. Live bait fishing has been solid in 30-60 ft of water while on anchor and even while drifting fishing thru the working seagulls. Gizzard shad are plentiful on the west end of the lake this time of year. Threadfin shad will also work but the gizzard shad are our winter bait of choice as they stay good and frisky thru out the day, while the threadfin shad tend to get pretty weak after a few hours in the bait tank.

The water temperature of Lake Texoma is 59-61 degrees. The lake elevation is 618.27. The last two weeks of striper fishing we've seen very little changes. On our live bait trips, it has been nothing to mow thru 250+ baits in a matter of a couple of hours. We are catching our share of the smaller little footballs, but we are catching alot of the healthy 17"-19" stripers with good overs mixed in.

The next several days are forecasted for some much needed cooler weather. This is what we need to get the larger stripers on the prowl for an easy meal. Although it can be cold and ugly outside this time of year, the next couple of months you really do have a much better chance of hooking up with a Lake Texoma trophy. Bait fishing creek and river channel ledges in 35-65 feet of water has worked well for me. Sea gulls are still working the schools of stripers all over the lake. Lure fishing remains to be good fishing backs of creeks to the west of Highport Marina using 3/4 and 1oz glo sassy shads and super flukes. For those of you not interested in the early morning bite, afternoon trips have been equally productive and a little warmer. So bundle up and get ready for some Lake Texoma winter fishing.

StriperExpress Striper Fishing Report 11/3/2009

November fishing on Lake Texoma is a prime time to go striper fishing. Huge schools of striped bass are roaming the lake. Some of the fish will tip the scales at 15+ lbs. Thousands of seagulls are on the lake for the fall and winter. The water has cooled down and you can go fishing anytime of the day. Sassy Shad jigs are the baits of choice. You can use a 1-ounce jig head with a 4-inch whiteglo or chartreuse soft plastic tail. You need a good pair of binoculars to locate the different schools of fish that the birds are “working”. Your favorite fishing hotspots are the North Island area, west to the Willis Bridge.

Your fishing adventure awaits you with Striper Express. Now through the end of the year is considered the best fishing of the year. This is perfect for company trips, your family and friends.  You can purchase gift certificates for any occasion.

With the cooler the Lake Texoma water temperature has been steadily dropping. These conditions have perked the stripers up and made for easy pickings. Out of the past two weeks I have fished all but one day and have had great results each day. We have seen some good looking limits of Lake Texoma stripers on these trips.

StriperMaster Lake Texoma Striper Fishing Report 9/17/2009

After a hot July and August, the month of September came in with unusually cooler days. With the cooler weather we have ween the striper fishing on Lake Texoma steadily improve. Top-water bite with these cool cloudier and rainy days has been outstanding. Fishing the flats and shallow banks seems to be the best tactic for me. I haven't been chasing the schools on top much as the fish I have been catching on top have been on the smaller side found that most of the stripers working the top are on the smaller side but there is a lot of action and multiple hookups. The better stripers we have caught have been in the 5 to 20 feet of water range. I have fished several bait trips also. We have been using small gizzards shad. and fishing in 30 to 45 feet of water on anchor. We have had no problem catching good limits of Lake Texoma stripers fishing this way.
