Lake Texoma was the site of a tragic Jet Ski accident this past weekend that resulted in the death a 19 year old Sherman man and serious injuries to a 20 year old man also from Sherman, Texas. According to reports the men were jumping boat waves on their jet skis and collided.

The Elks in Sherman Texas is holding a Benefit on August 11th for our friends at The American Legion Post 231 on Lake Texoma. The American Legion Post was inundated with water during the early July 2007 Lake Texoma flood.

With Lake Texoma flooded, a great way to spend some quality summer fun is a few days at a Bed & Breakfast. We have reviewed the many B&B's in the Lake Texoma area and are really impressed with Pappy's Paradise.
We apologize for the lack of posts, but have been extremely busy due to the flooding of the lake. The pictures paint a tragic story for those around the shoreline of texoma. Paul is a local resident who had a very bad motorcycle accident and has been in Parkland Hospital the past three weeks.
They have a lot of activities going on such as a Horseshoe Tournament, Live and silent Auctions, Live Music and they are Roasting a Pig.
If you have some spare time on Sunday, come enjoy the company of a lot of the local community, enjoy the activities and help out a family in dire need.
